This is a long explaination, only so you know the details. If you dont want to read it, then move on :)I am 31 in a long distance relationship with a 40 year old man. He is a single father (joint custody) and he owns his own construction [tag]business[/tag] and we are 6 hours away from each other.He comes to see me at least once a month and the last time he was here he asked me to commit to him. I’m moving where he lives in a year anyway so I decided to be with him only. Now that I agreed to commit to him, I hardly ever hear from him. He used to text me good morning, call me several times a day, etc… He did run into a delima with his [tag]business[/tag] because he started ignoring it and focusing all his attention on me and made me aware that he needs to refocus to keep things running smooth. Outside of [tag]business[/tag] he spends a lot of time with his son, is an avid tennis player, and he goes to a lot of events to generate [tag]business[/tag] but I feel he can still squeeze some time in for me. On a very busy day he can at least text me a good morning, i hope your doing well, or something but i hardly get anything.I text him every morning to wish him a good day or wish him luck on whatever project he had going on and after a few days of doing it with no response i would text if he felt he wanted to let this relationship go. A few hours later I would get a text with him explaining why he hadnt texted or called (work, proposals, kids) but says he does think of me a lot, but I would like for him to SHOW it with his own effort. I hear from him more lately but he will call or text only if I text him first or call him first I’m starting to feel I’m the only one trying to make this work. I dont feel there is another woman involved. I decided to stop contacting him all together and see how long it takes before he contacts me and if he goes more than a week, its over. My friends thinks I’m being to hard on my man and told me if I know or feel he isnt cheating I need to relax and let him contact me. What do you think?
