Open Question: Help me out, should I green real estate quit my ridiculous, stressful job without getting another one?

This job is so bad, I think the place will get shut down anyway. It’s a restaurant kind of place, like Quiznos. The owner isn’t allowing us to clean the place properly, and we have ridiculous catering deliveries to make, with a limited staff, in a place that’s almost like McDonald’s in regards to customer walk-in volume. The manager has no idea how to run a food service [tag][/tag]. I’m at wits end here. I have a college degree from a good school. I really want to quit right now. However, they say it’s bad to quit a job without having another one. It’s so bad at this one, I’m ready to just break that rule. The owner loves me, he’ll give me a good reference at least, but I’ve had enough. I broke down from the stress the other day. Every day one-ups the ridiculousness of the previous day. What’s worse, if I leave, this place is pretty much screwed, because I was the one they called in a lot when they had ridiculous deliveries and employee call-ins. I was the only person that was pretty much available all the time…which is pretty much another reason why I’m hating this job too, the owner likes to hire only college and high school students.Help me out. I’m going to volunteer while I’m unemployed and looking for an in-between job or a real one. Do you understand why I’m going insane at this job?
