Open Question: With a degree marketing real estates in Music Technology, can I become a pro sound tech?

Thoughts of college and the future have been troubling me lately, and I really have no clue what I want to do (not uncommon I suppose). I do have a slight idea though, its just I fear that it is not a very lucrative position.. If I majored in a field like Music Technology, what options are available to me? Will I be able to find a steady job?I think it would be cool to be a sound tech for a professional band or something, but again, I don’t know if that’s a very easy field of [tag]business[/tag] to get into… I do have some musical experience..Please help!! I still have plenty of time to plan my future, but music is a passion of mine and I would love to do something with it.
